A bright mind with a healer’s heart
Sayma is a kind and imaginative 9-year-old from north-east Bangladesh. She enjoys reading and loves playing football with her friends. Her favourite meal is rice with egg, and she likes wearing bright red shirts and pants. Sayma’s biggest dream is to become a doctor so she can bring comfort and healing to others.
Both her parents work as tea labourers, doing their best to provide for the family despite limited income and many responsibilities. Even with the challenges they face, their love and encouragement keep Sayma motivated to study and dream big.
